Doug Michael is a composer/guitarist/instrument builder currently teaching Electronic Music at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California. He received his MFA from Mills College and BA at San Jose State University and has studied composition with Alvin Curran, Fred Frith, Dr. Brian Belet, Daniel Wyman, and guitar with Ted Greene. Doug has won various composition awards from ASCAP, the Eva Thompson Philips Composition Award, and a Student Composition Award from the College Music Society, Pacific Central Chapter. His music has been performed at many music festivals throughout the world, including Hong Kong, Germany, Argentina, The United States, Australia, Canada, France, and Finland. Mr. Michael's compositions are recorded on Centaur Records, Frog Peak Music, Seeland Records, Aporia Records, Nebula Productions, and his own label Angular Momentum CD's.

Sudhu Tewari is an electronic composer, tinkerer and improvisor. An early interest in disassembling alarm clocks and coffee makers gave rise to electro-acoustic instruments constructed with the remains of discarded electronic equipment and big metal kinetic sound installations. Tewari also performs with guitarist Fred Frith as the duo Normal and recently began playing with Eric Glick Rieman and his modified Rhodes piano. In the past, Sudhu has had the pleasure of performing with a variety of talented improvisors including Tadashi Usami, Kazumoto Endo, Cenk Ergun, and Gunda Gottschalk. Sudhu has also been seen masquerading as a modern dancer with Group A. Check out his SF Chronicle Interview before playing in this year's Other Minds Festival.

Kendra Juul is a musician and video installation artist. She graduated from Oberlin College and Conservatory with a BM in TIMARA (Technology in Music and Related Arts) and a BA in English. Kendra has also studied at Iannis Xenakis' studio, CCMIX. Her performance installation work has been at The Kitchen in NYC and in a variety of unusual locations! Recently, she has played with Tadashi Usami, Sudhu Tewari and Kazumoto Endo at The Offsite in Toyko, at the Placard Festival in NYC, at Yerba Buena with a mixed match of mischievous musicians, and with the Lines ensemble at Chapel of the Chimes. Currently, Kendra is working on tracks for the Stasisfield label, for A Take Back the Noise compilation, and is planning for a gig at Jiffy Scuttler. In addition to her solo work, Kendra is an active member of CMAU and Out of The Loop. During the day she can be found at Leapfrog Toys obsessing over 8k audio.

Mark Bartscher is a Bay Area composer/performer/installation artist. His current projects are miba, CMAU, Out of the Loop, and installation work with Alyssa Wilmot/Group A. He is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory of Music where he majored in TIMARA (Technology in Music and Related Arts) and minored in composition and theory. Recently, he put out an album with Kristin Miltner (miba) on Pax Recordings called the corplate porblem. His video work has been shown at the Kennedy Center, The Getty Center, and the National Academy of Sciences.
