Interactive Pump Organ - 2015
A "prototype of a prototype" commissioned by OurCity
A "User" generates both the air to sound the pipes and timing information to control tempo. In its current state, the organ can play a simple looping song, Smoke on the Water, Twinkle Twinkle, When the Saints go Marching In and can programatically generate melodies, choosing one new note from a chosen scale for every step.
control electronics - 64 note Midi solenoid driver, Arduino microprocessor
and a few pots, switches and leds to make testing easier.
