One Every Four

28 channel sound installation created for the Exploratorium in San Francisco. Ryan Montgomery built 14 sculptural columns and speaker boxes that fit into them. I installed playback electronics into the speaker cases and composed short (5-12 min) soundscapes for each "station" around phemenological themes (space, fire, electricity, creaking, oceans, etc). Source material came from my own field recordings and friends' contributions of favorite sounds.
A few years later these soundscapes became the source material for a composition for the San Francisco Tape Music Festival.
